Internet Fax Machine Can A Fax Machine Slow Down My Internet Connection?

Can a fax machine slow down my internet connection? - internet fax machine

I've recently bought an all in one printer with a fax machine. I connected a splitter and take the phone fax and DSL modem too. Is it that slow down my Internet connection?

Not if you understand how the ADSL, you will understand why it does not interfere.

Basically, you send the fax data over the telephone line at the same frequency as the voice. With this knowledge, one might ask: "What is on the phone to change the speed of the Internet?" and the answer is no.

What is the DSL copper data are transmitted on different frequencies. That is what is the divisor. It shares the lower voice frequencies to higher frequencies of data.

In this way, they are both on the track completely independent and separate works. If you have a divider of the poor, you can hear some static when the phone can interfere with transmissions by fax, but it will not slow down.

I do not think a fax machine would slow your connection, except perhaps a bit small, but in reality it is a fax to be sent or received. And in this respect should be minimal.

What you can do is go to a place like www.dslreports.com and do a speed test internet, you unplug the fax machine from the wall, and run the test again to see if there is no difference.

I would not make too worried, honestly, I would be more concerned about the outdated and expensive methods that you use.

Long story short, if you money and fax in a better way that I want to store highly recommend the following links:

Good luck!

The only way a fax, it can be slower, that if you are on the same phone line. But it would not be able to use both simultaneously.
Can be Faxes thought team speed is lower.
